Black Hat Watch
When your rating drops overnight you want to be on top of it as quickly as possible. Very often that’s a sign of nefarious activity, which can be fixed if acted on.

Policy & Tactics
Amazon Just Gave Itself More Time to Second-Guess a Review.
You submit a removal request and expect an answer in a week or two, the way it used to work. Now Amazon’s own publication window has stretched from that old 1-2 week range out to 30-60 days, which means a review you thought was settled can still surface two months later.
A “removed” review isn’t necessarily gone for good either, it needs a second look further down the road.
It’s less like flipping a light switch and more like waiting on a certified letter that might get bounced back to you weeks after you mailed it.
My Advice: Build review monitoring into your monthly routine, not as a one-time cleanup, because confirmation now takes twice as long as it used to.
AI
As AI continues its rapid advance, one of the challenges becomes not so much what it can do, rather, how to best apply it to what you’re doing.
New business-use cases for AI develop every day.
As an example, one thing I noticed in one seller community was that case studies showed AI-driven image changes alone lifting Amazon revenue 47-98% in days on existing catalog listings, no new product required.
Might be worth having AI take a look at (and update) product images. Try it on one or two first to see if that same result works for you.
Separately, connecting Claude directly to real Amazon account data is being used to surface wasted ad spend and scaling opportunities faster than manual report digging.
More food for thought when it comes to ways to apply AI in your enterprise.
Reviews
Just a heads-up on reviews, our friend Kevin King in his Billion Dollar Seller Newsletter reports reviews vanishing and Amazon remaining mum on why.
Multiple sellers are reporting reviews disappearing overnight, with no Performance Notification and no explanation from Amazon. One source’s take is that it looks like a broader review re-evaluation rather than a Q4 purge or competitor attack, since competitors can report reviews but can’t make them vanish outright.
You may not have seen this, and hopefully you won’t, but if you do this might be what’s happening. Just a little FYI so you realize it could be part of a bigger sweep.
More info as we have it.

Episode #88
TikTok Shop Beyond GMV: How Creator Content Drives Omnichannel Growth
In this episode of The eCom Growth Show, Danan Coleman interviews longtime friend and ecommerce veteran Paul Baron, Agency Partnerships Lead at Reacher, to explore why brands need to think beyond TikTok Shop GMV when measuring the platform’s true impact.
After years as an Amazon seller, agency owner, speaker, TikTok Shop affiliate, and creator coach, Paul has experienced creator commerce from nearly every angle. He explains why TikTok Shop should be viewed as both a sales channel and a massive product-discovery engine, and why the content brands generate there can influence sales across Amazon, Shopify, Meta, retail, and beyond.
From the hard lessons of building an Amazon brand to earning five figures a month as a TikTok Shop creator, Paul shares what brands need to understand about creator relationships, content licensing, profitability, and the omnichannel halo effect.

When Four Reviews in a Day Aren’t a Coincidence
You wake up and your rating has dropped from a comfortable 4.4 to a shaky 4.1, and an onslaught of negative reviews are to blame. Worse, none of them came from real customers.
What Happened
This week a supplement brand I work with got hit with four negative reviews inside a single 24-hour window, all landing on a listing that had been stable for months.
A pre-audit turned up dozens more critical reviews already sitting there, waiting to be noticed.
No bueno.
What I Recommend
Concentrated clusters like this rarely happen by accident, and in categories where a rival knows a pile of bad reviews can bury you, it’s often exactly that:
Someone else’s doing.
I recommend you check your rating per ASIN weekly, not monthly, so you catch these things when they occur.
Four flat tires in the same lot on the same morning isn’t bad luck, that’s someone with a knife.
The Reviews Police
Fortunately there’s help. Here at eCom Triage we’re kind of like the Reviews Police; we spot the criminal activity and fix it. We may not be able to send anyone to jail, but we can definitely make sure they aren’t causing any harm.
If you’re being hit with negative reviews, regardless of the black-hat posting them, eCom Triage finds the invalid ones and removes them.
See how we can help.
