Goldstein Patent Law protects what you built.
Goldstein Patent Law is an intellectual property firm led by patent attorney Rich Goldstein. They handle patents, trademarks and copyrights, and they work with ecommerce sellers on Amazon IP enforcement.
Intellectual property, start to finish
Filing the rights, renewing them, and enforcing them when somebody in your category decides your product looks like a good idea.
Patents
Utility, design and provisional filings. The firm publishes a patent evaluation step first, so the strategy conversation happens before the filing does.
Trademarks
Registration, renewal, research and enforcement. For most Amazon sellers this is the one that matters first, because Brand Registry runs on a registered mark.
Amazon IP enforcement
The part sellers actually run into. Somebody copies the product, lifts the photography, or files a complaint against a listing you thought was safe.
Copyright and international
Copyright protection alongside the patent and trademark work, plus filings outside the United States when you sell into other marketplaces.
Taking a review down does not stop a copycat
What we do is narrow on purpose. None of it helps when somebody clones your product, lifts your photos, or files a complaint against your listing that you have no registered right to answer. That is a lawyer problem, and it is much cheaper to solve before you need it than during.
Rich Goldstein was picked by the American Bar Association to write its consumer guide to obtaining a patent, which is a reasonable signal in a field where it is genuinely hard to tell who is good. If you sell something you designed or invented, go and have the conversation while it is still a conversation.
Talk to a patent attorney
Start with what you actually own. If the answer turns out to be nothing, that is the answer you needed to hear this year rather than next.
